90 Minute Services are designed to blend the need for focused and full body work together.  The whole body can be touched on as well as having some time to spend on specific areas of concern.

120 MINUTE SESSION

120 Minute Services are useful in getting as much out of your massage as possible with time for the full body experience together with plenty of time to spend on trouble areas leading to ultimate healing opportunities.  (Not to be used for Pregnancy).

60 Minute Services are utilized for two purposes. The first is for longer, more in-depth focus work on specific areas of concern and the second purpose is for just a full body experience with no focus on any specific areas.

ACUPRESSURE MASSAGE

Acupressure is a thousands-year-old form of Massage Therapy that involves applying pressure to certain points on the body to address ailments.  According to traditional Chinese medicine, people have meridians or channels throughout the body. Qi, which is understood as a life-sustaining energy force, runs along those meridians and can become stuck at some points along the meridians.  The goal of acupressure is to keep the energy flowing using pressure at specific points.  It can be a clothed or disrobed modality depending on client's needs.

ASSISTED STRETCHING

Assisted Stretching is exactly what it sounds like.  It mixes stretching techniques (such as PNF and Soma) from different modalities (such as MFT, Shiatsu, and Thai) to focus on areas of concern on the body.  It is a clothed modality and can be done on a mat or on a table.

CHAIR MASSAGE

Chair Massage is done clothed and upright on a massage chair and can be useful for people on the go to people who can’t lay on a table or a mat on the floor.  It can be used for focused work or the full body and be just as effective as a table or mat massage.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

Deep Tissue Massage is used as a type of Massage Therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue.  It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff shoulders, low back tightness, and sore glutes.  Some of the same strokes are used as classic Massage Therapy, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain.  As such, full body Deep Tissue sessions are best done in 90 minutes or longer.

MYOFASCIAL THERAPY

Myofascial Therapy can be useful for treating skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles.  It is usually coupled with Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) which is an advanced form of flexibility training which involves both the stretching and contracting of the muscle group being targeted.

PREGNANCY MASSAGE

Pregnancy (Prenatal) Massage is less of a modality and more of an intention. Pregnancy Massage can be just like a Swedish Massage but with more care around certain areas that can activate the body’s natural “purge” functions. The therapist must also be more aware of the muscles reactions because, during gestation, dopamine is pumped into the brain of the mother and it can be difficult for her to determine her pain levels. Prenatal massage is usually done side-lying since this is the most comfortable for mother and baby.

SHIATSU MASSAGE

Shiatsu originated in Japan and was based on traditional Chinese medicine with elements of Western therapies.  It relies on the use of fingers, thumbs, and palms to apply pressure in an attempt to help heal common ailments and conditions and correct imbalances in the body. It promotes energy flow and helps relieve stress, treat pain, and contributes to a client's overall health and well-being.  In addition to being a deeply relaxing experience, it amplifies the body's own ability to heal itself.  Shiatsu is usually done clothed on a floor massage mat but can be done on a table.

SPORTS MASSAGE

There are a couple different types of Sports Massage.

The first can be done in as little as 10 minutes to 30 minutes which is normally what you find the people in the tents at a event are doing. It is mostly rapid, rhythmic compressions to help keep muscle tissue soft and limber to help stave away cramps and blood flow issues.

The second is pre-event. These you want to do a few days to a few weeks before an event (depending on how often you receive massage).  These massages are usually used to calm nerves and help ease the body through training.

The third is post-event.  These are focused on recovery and can be booked several hours to a few days after an event.  These can be firmer than the other two and can incorporate PNF stretching, MFT, or even Deep Tissue.  Be prepared to be moved around.

SWEDISH MASSAGE

Swedish Massage is the most commonly known modality of Massage Therapy.  If you’ve seen a massage in movies or tv shows, chances are it was Swedish Massage.  It involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on topmost layers of muscles.  It can also be combined with movement of the joints.  By relieving muscle tension, Swedish Massage can be both relaxing and energizing.
