POLICIES & PROCEDURES:

We at Tranquil Path Healing LLC understand that life isn't always easy to plan around.  Things happen but in order to keep things running smoothly, and out of consideration for our therapist's time, we ask that you adhere to the following policies:

Scope of Practice

Tranquil Path Healing is a Private Massage Practice.  We are not doctors and therefore cannot diagnose illness or disease and are not a substitute for medical attention.  If you have an illness, please check with your doctor before attempting massage therapy. We also cannot prescribe medical treatment or pharmaceuticals nor are we allowed to provide treatment for a specific condition without a doctor's supervision. We hold the right to deny service to persons we are uncomfortable working on for any reason.

Boundaries

Tranquil Path Healing strives to create a space for the client that is safe and without judgment.  The client is in control of what happens during the session as long as it does not bring harm to the therapist or themselves and is within the therapist's boundaries.  Clients will be professionally draped in accordance with the law and are allowed to make it known if they feel uncomfortable at any time.  Confidentiality is important to us.  Clients are free to talk to their therapist during their session if they wish to.  Conversations between the client and therapist are between the two of them.  This means the therapist will not be discussing with a wife what her husband said during their session unless the husband gives his permission to do so and visa versa.

For any client under the age of 18, we require permission from their parent or legal guardian.  For any minor under the age of 12, it is required that the parent or guardian is present during the session.  For any minor between the ages of 12 and 16, the parent or guardian is required to be present during the first session but is not required to be present for remaining sessions.  Any minor between the ages of 16 and 18, it is suggested that the parent or guardian be present during the first session but it is not required.  It is still suggested that the parent or legal guardian of any persons under the age of 18 be present during the session depending on the comfort level of the minor.

Sexual Misconduct

We have the right to refuse service to anyone, at any time.  This means the therapist has the right to stop the session at any time.  If the session needs to be stopped due to Sexual Misconduct, the client is responsible for the full cost of the session.

Sexual misconduct is not tolerated. The client must understand that any illicit or sexually aggressive remarks, advances, touching, or gestures will result in the immediate termination of the session and the client will be liable for full payment of the scheduled appointment.

Arriving for your Appointment

It is best that the client arrives at least 15 minutes before the start of their first few sessions with Tranquil Path Healing to fill out paperwork and discuss their session with their therapist.  After a few sessions, the client may not need to arrive as early but that is to the client's discretion.

Late Arrival

When a client is late, they're late.  This means that the therapist will not be able to give them their full scheduled time and, therefore, may not be able to meet the full needs of the client that day.  The client is still responsible for the full payment of the session.  If the client arrives after their session would have been half over, they are considered a no-show and are still responsible for the cost of the session. 

Cancellation Policy

Sometimes clients need to cancel their appointments and that is understandable.  We ask that the client cancel at least 24 hours in advance from the starting time of their appointment to give the therapist time to fill the gap.  Should a client cancel their appointment within 24 hours from the time their appointment was to start, they are then responsible for half the cost of the session.  Should the client not show up at all for their appointment, thus giving the therapist no time to fill the appointment gap, they are then responsible for the cost of the entire session. This may be waived for certain reasons.

Illness

Being sick is no fun and we all know it.  If you come down with an illness, please inform us as soon as you feel ill and we will endeavor to do the same.  Getting or giving a massage during an illness or flare-up is never a good idea and should be avoided completely.  It is highly unlikely that you will be charged a fee for canceling an appointment due to illness.

Refund Policy

We do not issue refunds for services rendered.  This is a small business and we cannot give out our services for free.  The owner reserves the right to make the final decision on any and all possible refunds issued, this includes cancellation fees.

First Time Visit Deal

This deal is used only once and is available for the first appointment the client comes in for.  It can be used on:

60 Minute General & Specialty Services

90 Minute General & Specialty Services

120 Minute General & Specialty Services

Second Time Visit Deal

This deal is used only once and is available for the second appointment the client comes in for.  It can be used on:

Snap Deals

This deal is only available through communication with the owner.  It cannot be booked by the client and can only be booked by the owner.  It is first-come, first-serve so if the spot gets filled there is no transferring the offer to another day.  There is a limit to how many Snap Deals can be used by a client in a month.  If the client has joined the Loyalty Rewards Program, then they are allowed 2 Snap Deals in a month should they become available.  If a client has not joined the Loyalty Rewards, then they are allowed 1.  It can be used on:

Loyalty Rewards Program

This deal is available after the purchase of 3/60 Minute General Massages for $165 that needs to be paid for before the Program can begin.  This is non-refundable. There is no limit to how many massages the client can come in for.  This deal is for clients that book regularly.  Should a client not receive services within a year's time, they will be removed from the Program.  They will be allowed to keep however many massages they already paid for while using the rewards but will begin paying Regular Price unless they wish to rejoin.  To rejoin, the client will start the joining process over again, beginning with buying another 3 discounted massages.  Also, should the Program be discontinued for any reason (other than the business moving or shutting down), the client will be given an allotted amount of time before they are no longer able to use it.  If the prices of the services go up at any time, so too will the Rewards.

Covid-19 Coronavirus

The laws are constantly changing in regards to the virus. As laws change, so too will our policies.  As it stands, we are not required by law to deny service to those who refuse to wear a mask.  If the client does not have a mask, and they want one, we will give them one.  If the client does not want to wear a mask, then they don't have to.  We will, however, be wearing a mask.

There are two new forms (Informed Consent and Health Warning) that will need to be filled out before each session.  These forms outline our scope of practice and boundaries for the health and safety of our clients and ourselves during the pandemic.  If these forms are not filled out and properly applied, we will deny service and the client will be responsible for the cost of the session.

Please be advised that the owner reserves the right to change any and all prices and policies should the need arise.
